Rix Road and Stephens Road | Officer

Private developer YourLand Developments will be soon delivering upgrade works on Rix Road and Stephens Road, Officer.
As part of the Officer Precinct Structure Plan (PSP), works will start from July 2024 and finish about mid 2025, weather conditions permitting. These works are separate from the planned Council-delivered upgrades to Rix Road and Brunt Road in Officer.
During the Rix Road and Stephens Road, Officer, upgrades, traffic management will be in place to ensure safe access to properties and amenities. This may include reduced speed limits, and traffic and footpath detours. During these works, Council asks for understanding and patience.

The upgraded road network will:
*Improve safety for motorists, cyclists and pedestrians.
*Enhance road capacity and traffic flow.
*Better connect and enhance accessibility for residents and businesses.
*Support economic growth and development in the area

The upgrades, as part of Officer Central Development works, will include:
*Construction of a roundabout at the Rix Road/Stephens Road intersection.
*Construction of Rix Road to the ultimate PSP road design, which will consist of a second carriage-way, median and on-street parking.
*Construction of Stephens Road to ultimate PSP road design, which will consist of a second carriage-way, median and on-street parking.
*Lighting, drainage, landscaping and associated works.

Upon completion, residents will observe the following changes in relation to property access:
Rix Road: Due to the median construction to PSP design, Ethereal Way will be restricted to a ‘Left In / Left Out’ access.
Stephens Road: Carona Lane, Dakota Street and Carnegie Street will be restricted to have ‘Left Out’ access
