The 2023-24 Footpath program is fully funded by council and focusses on building new footpaths to connect missing footpath links in established townships. 


Additional footpath projects are currently being undertaken in council-managed parks and reserves and new paths are provided by developers in the urban growth corridor. 

Project description

The 2023-24 program will see new footpaths and related works constructed at the following locations:

  • Henry Road, north side opposite IYU, Pakenham
  • Heritage Boulevard – corner Henry Road, Pakenham
  • Princes Highway, north side, (behind 76 Ebony Drive), Pakenham
  • Army Road, corner Baltessa Road, Pakenham
  • Bailey Road, Corner Garden Road, Cockatoo
  • Belgrave Gembrook Road opposite Avonsleigh General Store, Avonsleigh
  • Fairway Road corner Macclesfield Road – Avonsleigh
  • Wellington Road outside of Clematis Hall – Clematis
  • Brunt Road outside #28 – Beaconsfield
  • Main St opposite PO – Garfield
  • McDonalds Track corner Cullen Drive– Lang Lang


This program is fully funded by Council.

Progress update

Plans are currently being prepared.

Works have started and are expected to be completed by the end of June 2024.
