Project description
Developers* are completing road upgrade works at the Brunt Rd, Whiteside Rd, and Princes Hwy intersection in Beaconsfield, including Melbourne Water Drainage Service Scheme stormwater works connecting 215 Princes Highway (Neighbourhood Activity Centre, takeaway and service station) to the existing drainage infrastructure within Princes Highway.
Works are being delivered by Winslow Constructions.
*Please note that this is not a Council project and is being delivered by third-party developers.

Progress update
Ongoing works
- Currently completing drainage installation in the highway centre median, which is experiencing delays.
- Works are expected to recommence from 4 March and is projected to take approximately 6 weeks to complete.
- The developer is engaging with the relevant authorities to arrange the relocation of underground infrastructure to allow the works to continue.
Disruptions
- The barriers located at Princes Highway, Brunt Road and Whiteside Road have been temporarily removed by the developer but are expected to be reinstalled for further works in the coming weeks.
- Traffic management and lane closures are in place.
- To minimise further disruptions to the community, Council is working with the developer to change to the current traffic management arrangements, while the service relocations are being completed.
