Project description
Council is delivering safety improvement works at Garfield Recreation Reserve to help make the reserve safer and easier to use for the community.
The project includes new fencing around the playground, pedestrian and maintenance gates, an extension of the gravel footpath, delineation of the parking area near the playground, fencing and a vehicular access gate near the football oval, and line marking near the bowls club entrance.
Funding
This project is being delivered by Cardinia Shire Council.
Progress update
Works are scheduled to start on 4 May and continue until 27 May 2026, weather and site conditions permitting.
During construction, visitors should expect some closures and temporary disruption while works are underway, with the project page serving as the main source of updates for the community.
