Project description
We’re working to seal Mount Burnett Road in Mount Burnett.
Upcoming works include:
- Road pavement construction
- Spray sealing the remaining unsealed 1.9km length of road
- Drainage works
- Signage
- Line marking
- Minimal tree removal
As part of the Mount Burnett sealing project, some minor tree removal is expected to ensure safe and efficient road works.
We’re committed to minimising environmental impact and will keep the community informed as the project progresses.

Funding
This project is funded by:
- Australian Government
- Cardinia Shire Council
Progress update
Construction is now underway on Mount Burnett Rd.
Works are expected to be completed by June 2026, conditions permitting.
Sure Constructions has been appointed as the contractor.
What to expect during works:
- Traffic management in place
- Reduced speed limits
- Temporary road closure. Access to be maintained to all properties and local traffic
- Detours will be signed to redirect traffic
