As part of Council’s playground renewal program, Puffing Bily Place Reserve has been selected as one locations to be renewed.
Project description
Puffing Billy Place Reserve in Emerald has been identified as a Township Park and requires a masterplan. Budget has been allocated in the 2023-24 financial year to prepare the masterplan and the implementation of the masterplan will be subject to funding.
Council will be seeking feedback from the community around how they currently use this open space and what they would like to see included in the design.
Funding
Council has allocated funding for the preparation of the masterplan. Future implementation is subject to funding.
Progress update
The consultation on the Puffing Billy Reserve Masterplan closed on Sunday 1 October.
The community were invited to have their say on the playground theme, playground equipment, infrastructure such as bench seats, picnic tables, shelter or bike hoops, or path and seat locations within the space.
Concept plans are currently being drafted and are expected to be presented back to the community in early 2024.
