As part of Council’s annual playground renewal program, William Bruce (WB) Ronald Reserve has been identified for renewal.
Council has allocated funding for the preparation of the design in the 2023/24 financial year with renewal planned for the following year subject to provision of funding.
Project description
William Bruce (WB) Ronald Reserve has been identified as a neighbourhood level playspace and is due for renewal through Council’s annual playground renewal program
Renewal works will include:
- New playground equipment
- Drainage improvement works
- Connecting pathways
- Playspace surfacing
- Landscaping
- Seating
- Bins
Council sought feedback from the community during the first phase of community engagement in late 2023, the community shared ideas for upgrading the playground.
Following this engagement, Council developed two concept designs incorporating community feedback.
The community were then able to select their preferences for the final playground design.
Now, we’re seeking feedback on the two drafted concept designs for WB Ronald Reserve Playground to find out which design the community prefers.
Council would like to thank the community for contributing to our community consultations in 2023 and 2024, as the valuable feedback has helped shape and bring to life this new space.
Your input has helped shape the final playground design, and in line with the feedback received, the overall look and feel of the new playground has been carefully designed to reflect the heritage character of the area.
