Bunyip Recreation Reserve – Soccer & cricket field redevelopment | Bunyip
The grounds and pavilion will be home to Bunyip Strikers Soccer Club. The new facility will ensure the club can accommodate the growing number of local soccer players, including junior and female players.
The building will also be available for other local clubs that use the reserve, including Bunyip Cricket Club.
Reserve stakeholders including the Bunyip Strikers Soccer Club and the Bunyip Recreation Reserve Committee of Management have been consulted throughout the project’s design and construction.
Project description
Construction of junior and senior soccer field overlayer with a cricket field, new LED 100 Lux lighting, perimeter fencing and supporting infrastructure.
Council award the tender submitted by Evergreen Turf Pty Ltd.
Funding
Council and the Victorian Government have jointly funded this project.
Progress update
Lighting towers have been erected, pavilion interface works and turf redevelopment are now complete.
