The Koo Wee Rup Bowling and Community Hub will replace the existing pavilion located at the south end of the reserve, which was built in the late 1960s.
The pavilion is used regularly by Koo Wee Rup Bowling Club and Southwest Gippsland Midweek Bowls Group. It is also used on occasion by Koo Wee Rup Lions Club and other community and private groups.
The new pavilion will better support the current clubs, as well as other local sporting clubs, schools and community groups that host meetings and functions.
Project description
The existing clubroom facility is being demolished and will be reconstructed with facilities for club members and the general community.
The new clubroom will feature two social rooms, a bistro area, three community meeting rooms, a kitchen, bar servery, two change room areas, an office area, toilet facilities, storage area, and a first aid room.
Previous community consultation was completed in 2021 and 2022 for Koo Wee Rup Bowling Club and Community Hub pavilion project.
